2 pairs of Beats and some Skullcandys and a pair of Bose. You can spot these Beats a mile off now with their colours, you look like a mugger's pension scheme.

I've seen many different headphones riding the Stockholm subway, but this week I saw something I never will forget. Across the seats from me where a middle aged well dressed man sporting a pair of HD-800 driven by an iPhone. I couldn't help myself and started smiling like a kid about to get their weekly fix of sugar and cartoons. The urge to ask what had caused this misunderstanding was very big but as we Swedes are a private and very shy people I couldn't muster up the initiative for this possible conflict.
I started wondering if he actually had gone in to a store and the salesperson had sold him this headphone to use with the iPhone (I doubt it very much), or if he just had gone on-line and found the most expensive headphone he could find and just went this has to be some killer ****! I'm going to look really hip with this futuristic looking headphone riding the subway too!

Its funny you say this, but yesterday i compared my hd800's and he6's with a friend on different amps at work, and got the crazy idea to try the 800's through the iphone 5: it wasnt bad at all! The new iphone has very dynamic sound sig with a bassy tendancy, it was actually very listenable. With the stock cable it may have been harsh though.
I also wore my HE6 jokingly while chilling out on st catherine street in front of the store, in the heart of montreal. We were trying the panoramic pics with the iphone. Got some funny looks!post #7376 of 90849/29/12 at 12:25pm- GL1TCH3D

But why go for the HD800 and settle for a "listenable" experience?post #7377 of 90849/29/12 at 1:23pmQuote:Originally Posted by Sweden

I've been here for a few months now, but still haven't seen much in terms of headphones, not even mid-fi or so. I must obviously be riding the wrong subway lines ^_^
Imagine if you could have offered him a better source on the spot, that would have been pretty killer.
Still waiting for some good sightings ;)

Rare for me to see anything other than beats and earBuds. When I do spot something else though I take great notice. There was a girl in taco bell the other day and without realizing it I was a foot away leaning down staring at her cans. They were Sony something or other. I don't have much experience with sony headphones.

Yea...
I'm out and about a lot but I only see designer headphones, m50s, hd25 and vmodas.
I draw a lot of looks with my hd800/lcd2 (and for a good reason...)post #7380 of 90849/29/12 at 5:48pm- preproman

In the airports of DC (BWI National) and Cincinnati (CVG) I see Beats all over the place. I saw some KOSS. I was staring trying to see a model number. I had my ED8s on - also getting some strange looks.
