grado sr60s only once. i don't understand the widespread outdoor use of grados, but maybe that's just me.

besides that the sony 150, 300 garbage

and one kid who walks around with an unidentified full-size set with olive green shiny cheap-looking plastic shells. if i remember correctly, they're unlabeled or are discretely so. anyone know what this could be?

about 90% iBuds.

Regretable, eh? I know of a single chap in my town with KSC75s, and the rest; nothing.

And here's me with eight headphones...

i see full-sized sonys here and there, and a kid in my drama club has a some phillips streetstyle. there's this girl on campus who has white px100, and two other guys that have k26p that i see all the time.

when i go to the audiophile shops in beijing i can see people sporting all sorts of iems and portables and sometimes amps. it's nice to live a big place (sigh).

A buddy of mine has a pair of Koss cans that are olive green with cheapy plasic shells. I believe they are an early version of the Koss Pro4AAT, but I really don't know for sure.

Another downtown Seattle guy here who might be the fellow you mentioned. I've got the older version of the 5 Pros (worn FS Mod).

I see the same thing mostly, but at least there are quite a few people walking around with decent headphones. There are a couple guys at my bus stop wearing ER6s and Super.fi's (not sure if they're 3s or 5 Pros). Otherwise the normal iBuds, Sony noise cancelling, Bose, etc.

Nah, I don't think it was you, he was wearing them without the FS mod. I could tell because they were sticking out of his ears. :P

I always see 5-10 people wearing PortaPro's, and equaly many wearing iBuds, each day. But today I saw something I have never seen before (I identified them by the text written on the headband)!

A guy on the train wearing Skullcandy G.I headphones. Damn those are ugly!

In my recent travels I've seen a woman on a plane wearing super.fi 3 studio's or 5 pro's (couldn't tell which ones), a guy walking on Telegraph Ave. wearing Ety ER4's, and a guy on the el putting on what I'm almost certain were some UE-10's.

Was at a record store in Hong Kong over Christmas and saw two men wearing UM2 and Super.Fi 5 Pro... I was pretty impressed!

The funniest thing happened on my flight today. I was sitting there with my E500's. To my left, a guy using E2c's with an iPod. To my right, a guy with a DVD player and the new Bose earbuds. And over and over again he was holding his hands over his ears so he could block out the airplane noise that the Bose buds let come streaming in, while we too Shure users were blissfully isolated.

Just two days ago, I saw someone wearing DT770s in class (i thought they weren't portable)! He also had a portable amp with him, which led me to believe he may be an fellow headfier. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk to him.
Soooo, I'm gonna ask, is there anyone here who has Beyerdynamic DT770s and is in 1st year Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo?

Last semester, I saw a few things worthy of noting.

Umass @ Amherst
One cute girl in two of my classes frequenly sported the KSC75 clip ons.
One guy in BioChem100 actually wore his HD580. I'm sure he got a few strange looks form the class, but it was cool seeing someone with halfway decent headphones.
One guy in a Physics or Astro course that I set up for would sometimes bring in his Audio Technica full sized cans, either A500, A700, or A900.

For those of you who wonder why there are so many with the basic Sony MDR's, it's because they arn't all that bad if you can get them for dirt cheap. I personally have a V300, and they sound better than my KSC75, well worth the 5-10$ price premium over the koss, though they are much bigger.

I personally wear my KSC75 for portable use with a little ipod nano (no amp), though that my be chaning to some PX100 or DTX50's soon. If anyone see's me, feel free to say hi (just look for the only kid wearing a hawaiian shirt in the middle of winter, lol).

I saw a guy at my school with what appeared to be iGrados. (It was from across a really crowded hallway so I'm not quite sure.)

My School (in Derbyshire, England) is probably like this-

75% - Stock iPod/Sony buds
24% - Cheapo Sony ericsson/Sony in-ears
1% - People with decent cans (just my and my friend, Er-6is and K81DJs)
