I have a pair of Senn D595s, which have a 1/4" connector. All my sources are mini, and the 1/4-to-mini adaptor is cumbersome (especially since I like to use the Senns as a semi-portable unit with my various Discmen).

I'm considering simply replacing the 1/4 connector with a mini plug.

Is this something I should even consider as someone with limited technical skills (can't imaging it would require more than just a little soldering)?

Any recommendations for a good replacement mini plug that would be easy to connect to the cable?
