I have a portable DVD player and from it's description, it has an audiosystem of "2-Channel analogue, 5.1-Channel digital output", and it has "Built-in stereo speakers and stereo headphone jack".

When I play DVDs, the sound is ok, but it's not loud and clear enough. The sound effects and background noise sound ok, but the dialogue/speech is not loud/clear enough and it's really hard to understand when you are watching a movie when there are people around you and not in a quiet place. (I already turned it to the max volume.
Plugging into external speakers or headphones is the same thing, the audio quality doesn't improve.

So is there a way to replace the internal speakers (I think there's 2 of them)
Or is this not a speaker problem, but something else?
