Heh, MJG, my cables are probably going to come out similar, with the black tech flex you have.. I wish he had some cool PET, but he only has the flame resistant stuff in stock.

I wish I had some cheap, ugly, super microphonic crap I mean cool PET too... too bad I just have this nicer 2x more costly nonmicrophonic stuff

I'm surprised he didn't ask for them in green and red or red/white/blue, since he deemed everything else "boring" or "ugly" when he asked what color techflex he should use in his other thread.

yeah, for some reason I thought I had my choice at any techflex color.

haha, if the other stuff is higher quality, so be it, the streak is so lame though .

i keep telling 1911 that he needs to get nice cables to go with his apogee minidac too, but he sticks stubbornly with his crap monstercables... congrats on the upgrade!

As seemingly balanced-experienced people are on this thread - would you recommend using a cable like this to connect a balanced source (see my sig) to an unbalanced amp? I have excellent ICs connecting the AQ to the Staxen at this time, but I keep wonderding...
I cannot comment on these particular cables, but my mini-dac's balanced output sounds different (and better) than the unbalanced output, I don't know why. I am sure mjg can confirm this. I've read the same thing about the Benchmark. You may wish to try a balanced -> unbalanced cable on your Aqvox too.
