There is no real bass, unless you go down to a 12" woofer...I have not heard any sub 12" sopeaker with real bass yet, and even some 12" subwoofers are still lacking to me...

There are a few 10" subs out there that can hit 20hz with authority. HSU STF-2 and the SVS PB-10 for example.
