Which Forum Do You Visit the Least?

Of the active forums, which do you visit least and why? My prediction is the meet planning forum is least popular. I'm just curious. Let me know if I forgot anything. I only listed permanently active forums.

I normally just use the "new posts" link. It gives you a snapshot in terms of what is going on at the moment in all forums, so you don't really need to dig down into individual forums. This is an especially helpful feature to use if you tend to check in at least once per day. More often than not, I'm more interested in interacting with people who are online than following any particular threads in detial.

I do occasionally flip through each of the main forums to see if there was anything of interest that I missed (and also to keep an eye out for threads that may need to be moderated).

Portable audio.. I don't believe that you need $500 IEMS and a headphone amp in your pocket while you walk around outside in an area already distorted with sound and other things.

Ok, now I see the poll. DIY for me. It's not that I'm not "interested" as such, it's just that I don't know enough about electronics and such to be able to follow much of what goes on in there.

I won't argue the "need" part, but boy oh boy are you ever missing out if you don't give those E500's and a Hornet a shot with your iPod. The sound quality that is achievable today in portable system is truly remarkable. With in ear monitors (IEMs) there is enough sound isolation that you don't hear any of those other things that you might think distort the sound. You should give a nice pair of IEMs a try some time.

I personally chose portable audio as well. Not because I see anything "ridiculous" about it but because I do not really have the time to listen on the go. The reason I sold my e4cs is because of that and because not being able to hear what's going on makes me nervous.

Let me rephrease myself to make more sense. I have a 60 gige black iPod right now which I haven't touched in 2 months, and I've only had it 3 months. I never seem to have any use for the iPod because i'm 13 and i'm either in the house, or doing something that I don't need to listen to music for or want to for that matter. Also, my ears are small and elf-like, and the sony ex71's I do own (trying to sell em) are very painful to my ears, not sure why, could be the sony design. I would rather save the $600 or so dollars that setup would cost me (correct me if my prices are wrong, I believe a hornet is like $300 and E500's are quite expensive too), and buy an headphone amp for my home and a dac like a zhalou.

Probably Portables, followed closely by Music.

But I'm finding myself visiting Music far more.
More of a lurker there, I just don't have a lot to contribute there.

Same, I rarely post in the music forum. Just interesting to see names of songs and that type of stuff. Music forum is really relaxed, good way to rack up post count I supose.

Cables, Speakers, and Tweaks because of their no DBT policy.

If they had it their way, the universe would still circle around the earth.

Hmmm, you should try custom IEMs. They could throttle most home systems out there.

Spending so much money on a small driver kind of annoys me too, and I don't see how it can compare in ways such as soundstage to full headphones (unless the theory / idea that putting something deep in your ear and closer to your hearing can replicate the effects of something further away like closed or open headphones.) I know that an unbelievable amount of R&D goes into these small drivers I bicker about price wise, but I personally kind of hate it. Then again, the cost to create a pair of E500's probably is near what it costs to create a pair of 650's.
