The soundstage is a little wider on the 701's. The 650's carry a little more weight down low. I think I'd give a very small nod to the 701"s, but you won't make a mistake either way. Check out the 600's too. |

: I personally find the Senns more comfortable. They stay securely on your head. The AKG's self-adjusting headband makes the earcups ride upwards and puts pressure on my earlobes. For people with big heads (such as myself), it's a lot easier to find a good fit with the Senn; the AKG has to be stretched to maximum and still tends to push against my ears.
