Good rock band that starts with 'X' - Page 2

XTC. Get the early stuff for post-punk goodness, leading up to a more rock sound from Black Sea and a long, gigantic songs on English Settlement. After that, there's rock spread out over a series of albums in small doses.

I would definatly second X Japan. Great stuff, my friend introduced me to them last year.

Yup.

I assume you know the re-masters with bonus material....

+1 for X!!

you can't go wrong with any of their first four albums, but i have a special place in my heart for More Fun in the New World.

i love the fact that their patron and erstwhile producer was Ray Manzarek.

QFA. Bassist was John Doe and guitarist was Billy Zoom and drummer was DJ Bonebrake.

A fine band that came out of the Los Angeles punk scene. For an example of their evolution, I suggest purchasing their album titled "Los Angeles" and then trying "More Fun in the New World."

They are a fun band!

Xymoxx.

They were known as "Clan of Xymoxx" but I think they dropped the "Clan of" for their last couple of releases. They were an atmospheric industrial band on 4ad label in the late 80's/early 90's.

I picked up the Rhino Wild Gift when the remasters came out, but I'm not really much of a remaster guy, especially since I have all the original vinyl. One of my favorite bands back then. And others are right that the next two are pretty nice too, especially Under the Big Black Sun. But it is fun to have the CD too.

Still active.......... just released new album couple weeks ago, one of my favorite groups, have all albums buy them. I remember well buying debut album first week it came out back in 1985 at Wax Trax in Chicago, had cool artwork and was on 4AD label so I had to buy.

Favorite two Xymox albums are:
-Medusa
-Creatures

Think others have covered best known bands starting with "X"
