I am downgrading a bit, and I have settled on the GS-1 as my only home amp. I love it, but the bass is a little thinner than my Slam was. I am thinking of getting the NAD C542 as a redbook source. Do you think this player will have good enough bass slam to match with my GS-1? Or can you recommend any other mid priced redbook players that have good bass slam!
