Fry's Electronics Creative Zen Xtra 40gb 99 bux

Fry's is having a 1 day sale for the zen xtra 40gb for 99. It's refurbished though.

Any ideas on this unit...SQ, volume level, reliability in general, reliability of Creative Refurbs?

And how hot a deal is this? What about battery life since these units are refurbs, what's a good guesstimate on how much battery life remains?

That would be a really sweet deal if creative used standard Mass storage drivers. 40GB external hard drive for 99 plus it can play various music formats

Probably a good price if you're going to use it as a home jukebox, plugged into house current and playing through a home stereo. (Can they be run off of wall current? Will they output to a home stereo without having to use the headphone out, or was that just the CD-player-shaped DAP from Creative?) However, they're certainly not as ultra-portable as some of the newer DAPs.

Sound quality is supposed to be good on these, for what that's worth. But I've been warned about buying anything that has moving parts from Fry's (painful customer service experience, according to many).
