New Hamsters

My home has been void of pets (well except a fish called Ming) for too long since the passing of our dog Maddie.

So I adopted two baby girl Roborovski Hamsters.

Meet Pavlova and Ulanova.

They're cute. I've never had a hamster before...how long do they live usually?

Wow those are so cute. I've had hamsters before, they're quite cool. Now I have two guinea pigs, a budgie, and two gold fish who have seemingly defined common ages for goldfish... They are both 8-9 years old o_O

Awwwh! So fluffy. I want them to sit in my shirt pockets!

And damn Ed, that's some nice Hamster box you have there! Super stylish!

2 girls? What, don't you want lots of even smaller cuter hamsters?

Teach them to hump your equipment yet?

Those are CUTE. I want some, but I work in a lab, and rodent proteins could easily contaminate some of the things in there. Gosh darn it.

Awww, cute. I wonder if they like that transparent box, wouldn't they feel very unprotected?

Those hampsters are awesome!

I would definitely get a hampster, but my dog would eat it. (no seriously, she would)

At first they do, but they get used to movement after awhile. Because of how thick the acrylic is, it's very quiet for them. They piled all the bedding in on corner to nest in. LOL, they haven't learned how to use the sleeping tube yet, they are probably too small now. I'll have to coax them in there with treats hidden in the tube.

I have added a running wheel, if they don't use the sleeping tube, I will probably remove it.

Awesome hamsters! A stray hamster wandered into my dorm room 2 1/2 years ago, and I fed it veggies from the dining hall for the week before winter break and brought it back home, where it lived happily with my sister until it passed away this winter. It was a regular hamster though, nothing cool like those Russian things you have, those things are SWEET! Thats a neat cage you have for them too

Indeed they are adorable, that's one cool looking acrylic home you got for them.
