WTB: High or very high quality portable source

Hi there, I'm up to suggestions and offers for a great portable source. I presently have a D-EG7 Sony Discman and haul around a couple of CD's and my Cardas'es 600's (yes, I know, it is blasphemy to drive these babies without a decent portable amp, but I'm trying to address that situation in the amp section, but would still be up for suggestions)
