Hey,
Just trying to start an interesting thread, did not see anything like it in the search tool so here goes'er..and realize this is not new but learned of it a few months back. ..

Did you know that at the end of Dark Side of the Moon, the Beatles are clearly playing in the backgroud_____? (long pause for those that have not heard this, oh yea to those that have)

If you have a dedicated HP amp, at the OUTRO heartbeat after all the music is over and the sound is stepping down, if you turn the amp up all the way (if trying for the fisrt time..be careful & wait till the heart beat starts going away first FYI so you don't Bye-Bye your hearing and pack a headache accidently)....in the right channel ONLY you will hear the Beatles playing no joke.

I have listened critically a few times and it appears to be Ticket To Ride, the groove in the song before a next verse...what the crap??!!

How'weird
but cool

When I get home I'll use the FLAC rip I have of it to boost he right channel volume at the end of the song and post it so people can hear if it's there or not... I haven't checked.

This a fairly well known fact. There have been some versions, possibly unofficial, that boost this portion so it can be well heard. One theory is that some portion of tape was recycled from the Beatles previous Abbey Road sessions. Alan Parsons engineered this album and also worked with the Beatles. There is lots of info out there on this, I just don't remember where.

The floor hiss on my CD of DSOTM is so bad that I cant really hear it, but I have heard it more clearly on other versions.

From Wikipedia:
"The bootleg A Tree Full of Secrets includes an amplified, re-processed version of this oddity that allows it to be heard clearly."

I stated in my earlier post that there was lots of info out there on this, but I am apparently mistaken. There is some info that I have been able to find but I guess it's not as widely known as I had thought. I didn't mean to seem arrogant about this is any way, I just thought I was pretty low on the Pink Floyd trivia chain.

I don't think you were arrogant, I knew about it and I have never listened any Pink Floyd seriously.

I should probably start doing so

What is playing is the Beatles Song Ticket to Ride, (the melody, right before the 2nd verse, or instrumental part near the end of the song, I believe)...
cool stuff.
