Headphones in Taiwan

I need some help from fellow Taiwanese headfiers. I am visiting Taiwan till the end of May, and I am hoping to buy a pair of high end headphones here. Anyone knows where I can audition or find a good deal in Taipei or Taichung? Thanks.

nice, when I was there all I found were the cheap ibuds. Didnt know where the audio stores were. When I go back, I'll find them. side note, taiwan is awesome, I had fun living there for 3 months at a university.

hifi is a great store. they have a pretty good selection of headphones, sources and amps to try out also. i usually make a trip there whenever i go back to taiwan but it's dangerous since i typically walk out with something.

Checked out the sites, and the prices on Grado and Alessandro stuff is pretty good. It would probably be easier for me to visit the place next to Taipei Station.

Did you guys bargain for a better deal? How much money off did you guys get after bargaining? Thanks.

There's nothing a short ride in a taxi can't solve in Taipei though. Hifi is actually not that far from Taipei Station.

I will have to check out both places then. I will somehow have to fit that in between my schedule of going up to "Young-Mi" Mountain on a scooter and visiting Taipei 101. That should be interesting. Any other hifi or headfi tips while I am in Taiwan? Thanks for all the help so far.

Just purchased my Beyerdynamic DT1350's in Taichung from a very cool shop in my favourite area of Taizhong. They even let you try the high end headphones. Its so nice to have these sort of shops here unlike in Australia where the only thing you can audition is cheap crap.

I have no connection to the shop, I am just a very happy customer:

Since it's been a while, are there any new recommendations for good stores in Taipei?

Definitely check out 加煒電子JM-PLUS Electronics. It's the best one I've been to in Taiwan. It's quite spacious and you can sit and enjoy the audio products without feeling uncomfortable. The staff was also very helpful. Definitely a place I'll go back to.
