FS: Phono Pre, Panny PCDP, Taddeo Digital Antidote II

Clearing out some pieces, saving up for the next big thing

First out: a major over-achieving Phono Preamp from Margules Audio. Their lower Magenta line, but this pre is the ONLY phono pre they offer. It retails for $450-$500, I am the second owner (it was actually owned by Anna Logg, the one-time writer for The Absolute Sound).

This unit has DIP switches internally for load adjustment. It is 2 pieces (separate PS hardwired), with a plastic case. But that's the cheapest part about it. The sound is VERY nice for the price, even for twice the price. It will drive high output MC's as well. Two of these sold on Audiogon for $300-$350. I'm selling mine for $200 + shipping. I don't have the manual, but that could probably be obtained easily enough from Margules. FYI, I used to own the original Lehmann Black Cube phone, and I think this sounds better....

Next up: a Panasonic SL-CT570 PCDP. SOLD!

Last up, a Taddeo Digital Antidote II Active version. This is a unit which plugs in after the analog outputs of a digital unit (player or DAC), and smooths out harshness, adds some image focus, and generally makes the sound subtly better, easier to listen long term. I have had three of these over the years, kept on selling but buying new ones. These made a sometimes small, sometimes big improvement even on nicer units like Sony SACD-777ES, Arcam CD-73T, as well as any DVD player I put in front of it.

This listed at $995, I bought mine for $500 used. I will sell for $250 + shipping. Taddeo the company (the man is gone unfortunately!) makes a passive version of this for $120. It's also nice, but it has a tendancy to roll off the highs more than this unit. My pics:

My terms: prepay MO, or Paypal - no charge for Paypal. See my feedback here, or on Audiogon as chams_uk.

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: see my other ads, coming soon: Jungson 88c integrated amp in the amp FS forum, and Sony CD-3K's - MAYBE - in the 'phones section

Bump again. Willing to listen to reasonable offers, or potential trades.

Possibly looking for a 1/2 decent CD player with digital out to use as transport (needs to be able to read CD-R's), or maybe some low-end Grado's (SR-60, 80), or maybe some NOS 12AX7 tubes (only need one, but 2 is OK too), or maybe a good DAP, or ?????.....

try me.....
