another grado streetstyles query

there are a few older threads on this but none answered my question...

i know some raffle winners won the SS at the national meet...but no prototypes were there and they received coupons (guess john grado was spending his time with the gs1000)

did john grado say when they will become available? the national meet thread is a bear to sift through...

John made no mention of when we would be receiving them. Maybe other winners got a solid answer, but I'm in infinite wait mode for now.

There has been no mention of any sort of date.Maybe even John does not know exactly.

Basicaly from what it has been said it is a problem ramping up production.

i hadn't heard of this problem...hmmm...is this just a rumor or did john say something?

To tell you truth i can't remember where that statement came from but just that somewhere overseas it is slow coming.

Will the streetstyles be manufactured at the Grado factory like all the other Grados or will this be like the SR40s where they sent the drivers to a chinese factory for manufacturing?

And does anyone know if they will be 'behind the neck' or maybe earclip style?

waiting patiently

Ive been using my MS1 portably and doubt the new SS will outperform the MS1.

we shal see...

Well with the production and design caveats John and the gang are running into, we should see these as early as 2008 I imagine

well, i doubt they will better the ms1, too...but i'm interested in how they fare against my other portable open can of choice, the ksc-75. while i like my sr60 over the ksc-75, the cord is too cumbersome to be truly portable...if the SS has a more portable cord and sounds as good as the ksc-75, i'm in...
