do you listen to zeppelin and steely dan on the 1000's? how does that kind of rock stand up to the rs-1's?

The music artists you inquired about sound amazing on the RS-1's and BDGS1's but is very different.

Grado's with Cable Dragon cables on sale until end of September

I'm going to do a more formal thread but I wanted to mention that any Grado Headphone with an upgraded cable either Blue or Black Dragon cable will be on sale at 10% off until end of September. Just got an RS-2 with a 5' Silver Dragon V2. One word. Amazing Dont have enough of the new Silver D V2 to do any off those right now.

To answer a few of the recent questions. The Single Ended vs Balanced Black Dragon GS1000 sounds the same. Where the difference comes from is weather you have a balanced or unbalanced amp. The only differences between the design of the Balanced Black Dragon and Single ended Black Dragon are the connectors and the grounds are separate for each channel in the XLR. I did a lot of experimenting with separate grounds in a single ended version using a 4pin XLR and never heard a difference.

As for RS-1 vs GS1000 either w Black D. They are very different animals. I don't know if I have a preference. They both have there own flavors. Love them both. It just comes down to preference of sound signature. The GS1000 as I am sure it has been said before does not have your typical Grado sound. Very different.

On another note I'm burning in a Silver Dragon V2 GS1000 as we speak. Going to send it and a Black Dragon up to DC for there next meeting. Hirsh and Stevieo will be babysitting them if you want a listen.

hi, are you still re-cabling grados? i was wondering what would be the sexiest thing you could do to my rs-2 with a 1/4 termination. my system isnt balanced, but would still love anything to make them sound even better. **fingers crossed**
