I found these on ebay here.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=9712329360 They were cheaper than markertec wants for 3 canare and look the same. I bought 10 and now have 7 spares. roddey

they dont look like canare to me, they look like OEM radioshack mini connectors.
canare is on the far right
I took this pic a while ago to refer to how close to spec each connector was. Neutriks having the most deviation with ring placement and canare being the cleanest. Switchcraft is a good middle point between the two connectors. 3.5 spec, no ring deviation and size in between canare and neutrik.
It seems from the finish of the nickel plating Im guessing canare ads something extra to keep the plating smooth. While switchcraft plating is softer without the added metal. Im just guess though. Kind of reminds me of silver plated connectors and silver alloy plated connectors. or 24k and hard gold.

yes you are right. I should have looked closer. The barrel of the canare is a lot bigger. Now I am wondering if I will be able to get my wiring in the barrel. Well I will find out when they come in. Sorry I should think before posting. New I guess.roddeymarkertek and canare
