FS: Sony DVP-NS755V with full SACDmods modifications
(stock photo)
Matthew Anker did his magic on my Sony unit in Dec 2003, including:
- full power supply modifications
- copper EMI shielding
- LC Audio LClock X02
- Black Gates
- multichannel op-amp upgrades biased into Class-A
For more technical info & pictures of the mods, go to the SACDmods website:
http://www.sacdmods.com/NS755V.htm
The results took a decent, low-level SACD/DVD player to a whole nother level. SACD play became even better, and Redbook CD's sounded nearly as good as hi-rez, with none of the harshness from before. Overall, a big, and easily noticable improvement.
This served as my main source for a while, until I spent more on even better sources. This unit has been relegated to DVD play in my TV system since. Video quality is very good, imo. And the multi-channel upgrades make it ready for a full HT system when you are. It is in very good condition, and would rate it conservatively at 8/10 on the A-gon scale. Current price for just the mods alone is $402, plus the player itself (if you can find one), plus shipping back & forth, plus 2% for Paypal!
Selling this one for USSOLD shipped via USPS Priority, fully insured, with Delivery Confirmation (within the continental US, elsewhere additional postage costs will apply). Remote control included. I don't have the original box, but will pack it as good, if not better (double-boxed, of course). Payment by Paypal preferred (Credit card OK (no fee), but no eChecks though), or USPS Money Order. Will ship upon receipt of cleared payment. Confirmed addresses only for Paypal. If interested, please PM me (no emails!).
Thanks for looking!
