I am new here as I wanted a pair of quality IEMs to help with my daily commute as I was tired of having my music or study material drowned out by the world and his dog. I settled on a pair of Shure E4s after doing some research around the web in terms of noise cancelling vs sound isolation.
I came into it like most, in the sense that how can anyone pay
that kind of money for dinky little 'earbuds' but after having used them, I really understand why you guys do what you do. When used with my new Cowon D2, which is also phenomenal, well, it's fair to say that it's like rediscovering my music all over again. I went back to my stock earbuds and my 1st gen Nano for a comparison and it felt like I was listening underwater or something as the sound just seemed so lifeless and flat. So yes I must be crazy as well and some have already said that to me when I mentioned the price of the E4s.
I am also into photography and it's the same with lenses. Good glass costs a small fortune but to those used to P&S cameras, spending a good amount of GBP/JPY/USD/EUR on lenses seems like madness as well (until they look at the photos)
