er6 filter replacement

Hi,

i'm going to replace my filters on my etymotic er6's soon to see if that fixes a problem with them. I've now got the filter tool, does this tool ruin the filters in getting them out? i take it by the pointy tip it does. Someone was telling me to swap the filters over to opposite channels to see if the problem moved and i was wanting to do this before i went ahead and bought new filters.

ps: anyone in canada want to sell two filters for the er6 (not the er6i)

If you use the filter tool, you will puncture the filters and make them unusable. If you want to swap the filters, you will need to find another technique to remove them (i have no idea how).

I heard somewhere Etymotic recommends a filter change at least every year depending on use, so if you've had them for that long, you might as well go for a complete change.
