That sounds like an exchange from a Florida meet

Does moth audio even have a website because everytime I try to access it from google, it says page cannot be displayed...has the site gone down? I was just curious to see the different types of tube amps this company makes, as far as I've heard, very good ones...

Moth is out of business. Go to Eddiecurrent. com. There is a link to the Moth Audio Museum.

2A3s are wonderful tubes. I bet it sounds exquisite.

Congrats! An absolutely awesome sounding amp with retro killer looks to boot. You've done very well, indeed.

As for the 2A3 tubes here was my short list after some research:

The suppose Holy Grail: RCA 2A3 Monoplates (Very expensive and hard to find a true matched NOS pair). I could not justify the risk without a warranty, so I ultimately passed on them.

Emission Labs 2A3 Mesh or Solid (I went with the EML-2A3-S because of price, performance, and warranty. I am very happy with these tubes to say the very least.)
http://www.emissionlabs.com/index-en.htm

TJ Fullmusic 2A3 Mesh or ST (My third choice, but the second tube I would have actually bought.)
http://www.diyhifisupply.com/diyhs_tj_tubes.htm

You should ask Mikey01 about his experience with the TJ Fullmusic 300B 2.5Vs since he really liked these tubes with his EC2A3. Check with Craig that the 300B 2.5 aren't going to cause any problems or harm your amp in anyway before you decide to make a purchase. Brian at diyhifisupply told me that the 2.5v/300b are not suitable for a 2A3 amp as they need 300B plate current/voltage to run in their linear region since they would be down close to the 'knee' of the curve and sound soft.

The Mullard rectifiers are top-notch, but you might also consider the Sylvania big/fat bottles as well. But I’ve been told by Craig and Adhoc that rectifiers don’t have that much of an impact on the overall sound or actually little to none, in fact.

ENJOY THE MOTH AUDIO AMP (REMASTERED BY EDDIE CURRENT)

We are about 3 hours southeast of Orlando. Tallahassee must be 8 or more hours from hear. If you are going to be in Orlando and want to drive down, send me a pm. We are thinking about having a meet in May or June.

I'll have to see if I can swing it. Probably not, but I'd certainly love to meet that amp in person.

That's cool. The amp is jp11801's but it's just a matter of time before it's mine.
