My new baby!! Moth 2A3

I never thought I would splurge like this on an amp but this is the best sounding headphone amp I have heard to date.
The Moth 2A3 provides amazing detail, some of the best bass I have heard and glorious mids. Right now I've got EH 2A3s and GE 6sl7s and a mullard rectifier and it sounds great. I have some tung sol 6SU7GTY on order just to try a few flavors. Here are a few pictures




Anyone have any suggestions on tube rolling ideas?

Mikey01 would be the person to talk to about tubes. i've heard his 2A3, and it's definitely a very special amp!

Congrats, John! Love that old school, industrial, power plant control room look. More importantly, I bet it sounds terrific!

Looks like a piece of vintage military hardware from the front I love the tube portholes.

I hope I can make it over this weekend to check it out. You need to how good it will sound with the HD-650/G52 combination. I would bring some beer except that place you turned me on to hasn't shipped it yet. Besides, like Gene said, there's no shortage of beer at your place.

Right on man. That is one retro lookin' hard-core puppy! I'd *love* to plug into it.

Nightfall has (I think) the same amp, and it's a very nice amp indeed. Something about 2a3's and headphones.
