i'm upgrading to new speakers, i'd like to sell these to a headfier for a discount. you have to drive to my place and pick them up, since i will not ship and chances are low they'll be any buyers, but this an excellent deal i'm giving away. i'm taking down the sale after a week if there are no interest. if you're looking for a low-midrange speakers these are excellent performaner for its price. i might put them up to craigslist for $150, but for a headfiers who have been a member for atleast a month, i will discount it to $130.
These are really sensitive speakers, rating at 90db and 8hms, so they're easy to drive. But don't be fool, they pack some weights. The speakers has a 1" silk dome tweeter, two 6.5" woofers, and two rear ports. It stood at 3.3 feet. These aren't your average 1" silk dome found in those $100 bookshelves. The sound is very clean, real transparent and smooth. It's so smooth there is not one moment when the sound is fatigue even with classical and jazz. If I can describe the sound its like sipping champaign indoor on a warm and rainy romantic night. It's also easy on low quality music so mp3 will sound decent on it, but it have a high potential of shinning with the right equipments. The manufacturer claim the bass goes as low as 26hz, it's good for movie explosions and rumbles. The binding posts is gold plated and are suitable for bi-wire, bi-amping and banana plugs. I've never use spade plugs in my life, but I'm sure it'll will work too. An another, perhap plus for some people is these are made in Poland, not made in China.
As for cosmetic, there are very few scratches or marking and hard to notice, I would say 9/10 condition. I am the original owner and I bought these brand new, they are 2 years old, but only see less than 6hours of use per week. All drivers working correctly. I don't have the original speaker spikes and manual anymore, but I do have the foam for the rear ports and the grills. They're discontinued not more than two or more years ago so its hard to get a hand on them. If you do find them its not this cheap. For the price I'm asking I don't think you can find a better floor stander at the same cost. Also free quality Canare speakers cable with purchase.
