Viewsonic USB ports

I just noticed on the bottom of my viewsonic monitor, vp201b, I have four usb ports. Would I be able to plug in any usb device and have it work on my computer? I just tried plugging in my usb bluetooth mouse/keyboard device, but it doesn't work.

You see the square USB port? You need to connect that to your computer via a cable. Then you can use it like a USB hub (all it really is).

Thanks for thw quick reply. I am sure it is a stupid question, but I figured I would get the answer if I asked here. Now only if I can figure out my APX....
