BRANDO IS THE ANSWER

Okay please don't say I am crazy for ordering from this website because it looks like it was made by a 2 year old and the company is in HONG KONG! but their product is excellant. For the 5G iPod it is 3 pieces, 1 for the front 1 for the back and one for the center button of the click wheel. Customer service is excellant (more on this later). The screen protector is excellant and durable. Once on it appears nearly invisible (not like that wrinkly p.o.s invisible shield). The surface is perfectly flat and glossy when put on just like the normal ipod. Also it doesn't require water to put on (unlike martin fields). When on it looks like you just have a normal ipod with no screen protection. Also before i put mine on my ipod was starting to show hairline scratchs and this covered them up to make it look brand new. Ok back to customer service, when I orderd mine (back in dec. 2005) and waited about 3 weeks after ordering it with it not showing up I emailed them. The customer service rep was literally instant messaging via email. (I would send one, a few secs. later I would have his response) After quickly viewing my order he noticed I filled the order form in wrong and put UGANDA!!! (I'm In USA!!) This was absolutley my fault b/c I didn't review my order and I had quickly punched in u on my keyboard (thinking it would go to USA but uganda comes b4 usa DUH!! ) in the country dropbox. He immediately said he would drop another one in the mail and I got it within 2 weeks. (not bad for HK--->USA)

P.S. about 1 week ago (today is 4/18) I got the original one they shipped to me in december with UGANDA crossed out. It would cost more to ship it back than the screen protector is worth so I get to keep it as a spare!

Anyway, I highly reccomend BRANDO!! For $13 with free ship it is IMHO the best screen protector available.

P.S.S My original screen protector from brando is still on and shows no scratches and is definately more durable than iPod stock finish.

is that el wire on the edge of your zen? is that actually glowing like that?

The best screen protector I've ever used is tape, and I'm not kidding at all. 2 layers of masking tape does the trick for me, PERFECTLY. You never get scratches, residue, or nothing. It's perfect.

All Zen Micros glow around the edge like that, photo and non photo.

I loved the sound of the E5's, even the one note bass, but the thick unmanageable cord got to me. Way too much hassle on the go to quickly put them in or away.
UM2's sound thinner to me, a bit as if listening through a funnel (compared to front stage in your face E5 sound), but are more transportable on daily basis.

I also find UM2's to be hissier, at any given volume level. Probably due to the crossover with more prefference to higher frequencies compared to E5's.

E5c vs UM2

That's the same reason I decided against keeping the E5c in favor of the UM2. I really like the UM2s, but I also miss the "musicality" of the Shures. I also liked the profile of the Shures--very stealthy . (Although stealth can be drawback--people try to talk to you, not knowing you're wearing fiddly IEMs. They never do that when I'm wearing my Beyer DT-770.) You could even go to sleep with the E5c on your ears, no problem.

I have the E2c as well, which has almost the same comfortable fit as the E5c, and tolerable sound.
