Neil,

Let me know when you are ready. I have my Power One supply done and have enjoyed it this past weekend. I'm enjoying my system now with both my Pioneer PD-65 transport and SB3 equally, though they don't sound the same.

I'm using the Power One HB5-3/OVP-A that I bought from Digikey. The way I have put this together, it's not pretty but it's functional. I would try this first before doing any expensive MODs. This was about $50 in parts and can probably be done cheaper then that.
You can read some posts about this power supply hear but you'll have to sift through quite a few pages

Maybe you like your phase inverted .

I'm too chicken to try this so I'll wait for more peeps to check in on this. I like the way the SB3 is running now so I'm not going to mess with it.
