Poll: Favorite Film Scores? - Page 5

Anything with music composed by Yann Tiersen or Joe Hisaishi.

I also find the OST to "Ensemble, c'est tout" very appealing, composed by Frédéric Botton.

Du er ikke alene and Pelle Erobreren are very recommendable aswell. And don't forget Where The Wild Things Are!

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis need some serious recognition in this thread.  The soundtrack to The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is not only one of the best soundtracks I've heard, it's also one of my favorite albums period.  So beautifully sad.

Man, I'm with you there...not only is the soundtrack to "The Assassination Of Jesse James..." great (the first one I heard by them...), but so are the soundtracks to "The Proposition," and "The Road" also by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis. (I also absolutely love the score to "American Beauty." I would say that that is my favorite...)

I haven't listened to the Donnie Darko soundtrack by itself, but the music in the movie was awesome.  Until it was ruined by the director's cut.  Any of you see that?  I've never seen such a good example of the importance of having a producer say NO and put certain limitations on a director.  He added a shot to the opening sequence and then had to change the music and then the whole thing didn't work, and that wasn't the only scene that happened to- I remember the first school sequence was ruined as well.  Kind of a travesty, as those musical montage scenes were beautiful.

From the nonfamous soundtracks, I would say "28 Weeks Later" (the Remake)

This is probably my favorite, it makes any video or whatever you use it for seem epic:

Then there's also this version of it without the movie sound effects which is nicer to listen to IMO
