looking for a good pait that is under $100. the are also knows as ear-pad,Supra-aural headphones; open-backed headphones; semi-open headphones; closed-back headphones; on-ear headphones. thanks

To start, wrong forum.

Second, open and closed headphones are not the same.

Koss KSC75 ($20),
Koss PortaPros ($40-$50)
Sennheiser PX-100 ($40-$50)
Grado SR-60 ($60)
Grado SR-80 ($99)

jbloudg20 is correct that closed-back are different than those listed. If you consider closed phones:
Sony MDR-V6 ($80)

You can't go wrong with any of them. If it was me, though - I'd buy the KSC75's and spend the rest of my time auditioning the others.
