Martial Arts...

I'm thinking of starting up again.

I went for less than a year when I was younger, but my instructor got into a car accident and had to stop teaching.

So anyways, I'm interested in finding a new style... Something that can help in everyday life. Not so much for self defence, but getting fit and staying fit.

Any recomendations?

There were tons of threads in the past on this subject, use the search.

Personally, I'm looking into aikido, after five years of "kempo-karate"

Tae Bo is awesome, did it for gym.

Double time.

I'm studying Shaolin Kempo (USSD) and enjoying it. The Kempo material is my favorite; fantastic combinations and counter strikes.
Most important thing is the teacher; makes a much bigger difference than the style itself IMO.
Good luck,
CPW

I want to do Jeet Kune Do in the near future, but I don't know if anyone does instruction on it where I live. The best thing I have so far to get started is a DVD on the style, and is sort of a Bruce Lee documentary at the same time.

Maybe in his prime it would have been more even but Jet Li would own Segal now. How about Jet Li vs. Tony Jaa??

Steven Seagal on his knees in the liquor store in "Hard to Kill" VS Jet Li...Seagal would own him

Now, after the weight gain he and Jet Li both have something in common (all of their fight scenes are computer assisted!!)

BJJ+Sambo, Krav Maga or Mui Thai would be my choice if I had the money and time.

All the reason more as to why I'm a Bruce Lee fan. He pwn'd before anybody, before CG, before martial arts films were popular, and still pwn's to this day, IMHO
