Looking for short headphone extension cord

I recently bought a pair of Ath-ec7's off of ebay for a very nice price ($20).
Unfortunatly they did not come with the extension chord. I have looked around and could not find a place to buy any new ones seperate.

Is there anywhere that sells this?

If not where can I buy a short (1-3ft) thin/flexible extension cable that will not comprimise sound quality too much?

From what I have seen most extension chords are >10ft long and way too substantial to be useing with a portable DAP.

It seems like they must be out there I just can't find them.

after a continued search I still have not found what I am searching for.

could some one who has more experiance tell me how hard would it be to make my own? I would be willing to try makeing it from scratch or by modifying an already existing one, but I need some guidence.

I think you should check out the DIY Forum. There is a guide to make your own cables that would really come in handy for an application like this.

I seem to recall buying a Radio Shack 6 ft. extension cord a few years back. It was not too thick and I think would work pretty well with a DAP. You might check their web site or go into one of the stores. They may still carry it.

EDIT: Here's what I was thinking of.
