I do not believe that the scratching noise is the cable as much as it might be the jack (on either end) that you are plugging the IC into. So, keep in mind that a new cable might not solve your problem at all.

That scratching sound is indeed the jack. Needs to be tightened.

Uhh yes thank you. The jack was indeed kinnda loose.
I'm still gonna replace the interconnect. Whichever that will be, i decided to go with cooper even though no one commented on it.
My in-ear cx300 revealed some sssibilance with burn in so i want to keep things on the warm side.
Who knows maybe a better cable will bring even more sibilance but meh, there's only one way to find out

I wouldnt waster another dollar for anything "higher" on portable with with that amp and those cans...(no offense to the amp and cans..there is nothing wrong with them..just saying why put anymore money into it when the total rig price is here)
I agree.

If you want an interconnect, I too would recommend the Cardas HPI. I also recommend the RnB Tiny Diamond Reference, but mine cost $100 with upgraded connectors and shipping. Your choice.

If you do not go the Cardas HPI then get with Turbo. He makes beautiful IC's and you can choose the terminations (straight or 90 degree elbow). Good luck.
