I'm very interested to know bout the sound performances of this amp as I'm gonna getting a Gilmore balanced reference in a couple of weeks time ; which is the precursor of the GS-X and which should be yet one of the end-of-all solid state , so it would be very nice to know how these two compare .
End all solid state would be the Dynamite. Which uses 4 dynahi modules instaed of dynalo modules.

SFT makes one for $2000+. I'm about to order one

Nice amp, the casework on that is outstanding. Alaska is much smaller than I imagined though .

A stupid question, who is SFT? Thanks.

I really love the casework. Congrats on your amp, Billy!
Comparing it to tthe G08, the amp's a lot smaller than I had imagined.

Mr. Lin is a class act and his amplifiers are well built. I wish I've got money for his Dynamite

Congrats on the amp. Looks like a winner. Justin outdid himself again it seems.

Beautiful amp! Very sexy casing and perfect with the Meridian as a nice small combo with real punch. I want to hear how it sounds though since the first impressions in Cal were so positive.

That's an arguable statement. With the HD-650, the Dynamid and the MynaMight should be very close. With Justin's improved power supply it should be a real race unless you're using the K1000 or another very hard to drive headphone. Seems there were some people who liked the prototype better than the DynaMights at the meets it's been at also.

Actually, the dynahi doesn't use modules at all. That is specific to the HeadAmp designs.

Well I have spent a good part of the day with her and I must say she needs time. time to burn in the amp,Cardas Senn cable,Cardas balanced interconnect.

The bad news is I may be going un balanced for a week or so cause this 10ft cardas is way to short for me, I need to return it for a 20ft..I cant stand it, its like I am tied up..not free freely..lol

Anyway I must say the packaging Justin does is top notch! the box has lots of bubble wrap and peanuts in it. the power cable that links the power supply to the amp itself is lock tied up..no knives here you'll need a wire cutter to get the 3 straps off it!

The amp has this "Reference" look to it, very serious and panache. this can easily be the center of a $30K+ speaker setup!

The amp itself feels light and empty, but the sound does not! its full of straightness and speed. I think it should be awhile to take a "FAIR" comparison with the hr2 only cause if anything I am hearing now with the gsx is probably the difference in opamp VS discrete.

The DACT is also something to be had and be used of for me. the steps are even and smooth. it feels like I always thought a discrete would, as in it feels like your in a car with the gas pedal all the way to the floor all the time..but the only thing stopping you is the other foot holding the brake in. on the hr-2 it feels more as you just pressing the gas pedal harder as you turn the volume up.

A great amp for sure! but I am going to need some time to get used of it and its balanced ways.

thanks

What we really need is a comparison with a balanced Headroom offering. Oh yeah...
