Hey guys,

I'm getting a JMT built Cmoy and need a mini to RCA interconnect. I would like to find something that is available in Canada that's not too expensive. Anyone have any ideas?

You should be able to get a stereo mini to RCA Y adapter just about anywhere for a couple dollars.

Sol_Zhen,

"Just about anywhere" definately does not include Prince Edward Island. The only thing I have here is a Rat Shack and I haven't found anything there. I was looking for something of decent quality as well. I was thinking of the Straight Wire mini to RCA from Headroom but after the currency exchange, shipping, taxes, duty and brokerage fees it will cost at least double if not more.

Odd that RadioShack wouldn't have something like these on hand. Perhaps they're just out of stock at the moment.

Hehe, I just found them. Had to ask one of the guys. I must be blind as a bat cause they were right in front of me. The worst part is I remember now that I found them about a week ago at the other Rat Shack in town. (things have been really hectic here so I'm a bit spun). So if all else fails that's what I'll go with but does anyone have any ideas on a better quality inteconnect that I might be able to find in Canada.

The one I have is mady by Monster. And while their stuff is overpriced, this one was free to me. I doubt there is any difference in sound quality between your rat shack connector and my monster connector.

There is something interesting on this thread (scroll down to the photos that show the mini-adapter attached). But, I doubt many of us would go that high end to connect to a Cmoy.

I would recommend that Kimber as well. Not bad @ $49.00USD.

That Kimber is a superb sounding cable, a great one for your application. I don't think you can do better.

Something to remember that most of us who have been here for a while can admit....don't try to skimp and get by with stuff that is cheaper or easier to find. Once you finally get something of real quality like that Kimber cable, you won't need to upgrade any further. In the end, you might acutally SAVE money vs. buying all sorts of cables and equipment that you wind up not being happy with.

Ah, nice, thanks millerdog. I was looking around their site yesterday and couldn't believe they didn't have one.

I have a 1 foot Kimber mini to RCA cable and it is a great cable. I use it between my PCDP/PMDP and Meta42 and it sounds great.

I'm also in the market for a mini to RCA cable. I've heard good things about the Kimber, and good things about this cable from Bolder, too (http://www.boldercables.com/Store.as...s=Audio+Cables). All the opinions I've read are "I have it and like it" type comments. I wanted to know if anyone had listened to BOTH cables so they could do a comparison. Thanks.
