Hey sorry if this has been posted many times but i'v done some internet searches and i'm still confused.

I mainly listen to Rock/Heavy Metal. i'm looking for a pair of headphones between $50-100. Need atleast a decent level of comfort although I would prefer extreme comfort. These headphones are mainly for the use of my ipod/computer.

Would really appreciate your guy's input and thanks for the help.

Do you plan to use an amp? Do you want closed or open headphones? What kind of music do you listen to?

Answering these questions will help with suggestions.

Oh, and welcome to Head-Fi. Sorry about your wallet. (I finally get to say this!!)

They are for mainly ipod use so portability matters greatly. Not sure what you mean by using an amp or not. What is the difference between open and closed?

closed means it blocks out a good deal of sound around you and stops music from leaking out so the whole room can hear your music when it's quiet.

you don't want an amp. you want portability and cheaper headphones that run well from your iPod

Alright I don't care if they are either open or closed.

The Sennheiser HD25-1 that you posted are like $180. I'm looking for a pair that is $50-100.

try find a used pair and then stretch your budget a little... I've heard it's quite worth it

Otherwise, try the AKG K26P or the Sennheiser PX100
