New Headphone Amp - Released By Tri of Japan

New Headphone Amp:
http://www.yamasinc.com/TRV-84HD.htm
http://www.triode.co.jp/TRV-84HD.htm

Utilises two 6BQ5s and two 12AX7s which is very similar to the configuration in the MG Head (2 6BQ5/1 12AX7) but instead it offers 3WPC and is capable of driving speakers.

The design also looks pretty funky...

That's the first amp I've seen that needs parts from Williams-Sonoma. It's a tea strainer!

It should be working in Pentode mode to get 3W !

MG-Head OTL is working in Tri Mode have lower distortion , more sweet mid range. So It design is ultimate in Speakers not ultimate for Headphone.

This is the only thread I found here on this amp.
Has anybody ever heard it or can anyone tell something from the specs?
The price is 1599€ over here so it'd better be good then.
Triode Production - Triode Corporation
If anyone has any other suggestions for a first try with a tube headphone amp, I'd be happy to hear them.
As it would be a first try something with a nice sound at a reasonable price would be preferred.

You knew that this thread was like 8 years ago, didn't you?
No, hadn't checked.
But the product still exists and has even been renewed in 2009.
So I don't think there is a need for a new thread when there is one already.
Let's hope that someone has heard this amp in 8 years time

I havent heard the headphone amp by these guys but I did get a chance to listen to a Tri 4SE amp with a Tri CD4SE CD player, with some martin logan speakers which sounded very good.  The sound stage was incredible.  They had a pair of the monoblocks but they weren't hoked up.  I know this is a headphone thread but if it sounds like their Stereo amp i'm sure you'd be happy.
