You can't get the Krylon Fusion in the UK, theres something called 'Webbing'?

I'm not a fan of how Grados look normally, but that paint-job is just horrendous!

After I finding Squirt's Sennheiser intermittency repair instructions, I decided to give it a try, and I'm happy to report that the cable plugs now work without any problems at all. After the successful repair, I immediately placed an order for a HD650 cable and a replacement headband pad. I'm not sure if I really would like to use the Senn pad though, since that beyer pad looks very nice. Perhaps if I paint the headband black....

I did a quick google search of "Krylon Fusion" and uk, and I found this page.

Another plastic paint product I know of is Plasti-Kote Vinyl Dye. That seems to be quite popular among PC case modders. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about its availability in the UK.

They're charging £10 for a can!

Spring Grass looks pretty good to me. You wouldn't necessarily know, but thats practically 'British Racing Green'.

Hmmm....paint one side Spring Green and the other Sunbeam and you've got yourself some Cheesehead phones.

Damn, I wish I was an audiophile when I was an electrician working for the government. I used so much cool equipment.

On Feb. 22, I placed an order for a HD650 cable & a new headband pad for the 580. I had practically forgotten about placing that order, when I was surprised by a little package at my door yesterday. Well, taking off the beyer pad and installing the new sennheiser pad, I thought it looked kinda goofy with the red grills and the grey headband. I'm currently in the process of painting the headband black. However, I think I might still like the look of the Beyer pad more. Oh well... pics will be coming shortly

ok, I've painted the headband black and took a picture. Still not sure if I like it more than having the Beyer headband covering the whole thing though.

I like the stock headband better. It goes with the contemporary style of the Sennheisers. The Beyer band has that retro look that goes well with Grados. But the ultimate deciding factor is which is more comfortable...

Sick...looks awesome either way. the beyer band does give it a little more character, though. just get another 580 and use the beyer band on that.

wow nice job !!

While this has been bumped, how did the Grado driver experiment go?

also while its been bumped... you should try find some silver velour pads for senns, dye them red and swap the headband for a crimson leather one.
