AIFF and apple lossless are both lossless formats. apple lossess is just on average 60% smaller. that means you can get more songs on the ipod and they will sound identical to the larger AIFF formats (unless i have missed something). i'm not sure why even someone with obsessive compulsive disorder would choose AIFF over ALAC.

I'm finding now and again I have to convert back to AIFF. Also adding artwork is quicker with AIFF. But I'm a fan of ALAC for it's space saving abilities. |
