People want to know what you use to make all those great amps. At least I do. I'll get it started...

Since I am a college student living away from home I keep all of my stuff in bags including my soldering and hotair rework station. I visit home a lot...mostly to pickup packages that I do not feel comfortable having them delievered to my apartment.

Hakko 851 Hot air rework station
Metcal MX-500
Weller Smoke absorber
Fluke 175 DMM
Kester 63/37 #44, cardas, wbt solder used

Visible: one of my component boxes, DMM, cheap digital caliper, Metcal Irons, and a 41Hz Amp3 I'm working on.

Normally my desk is spotless. This is what it looks like when i'm ...creating masterpieces. My cuboard is where i keep most of my stuff, thank god you can't see that. And the floor is even worse.

Anyway 2 soldering irons, and Dynamid waiting on a case, My DAC running from a computer PSU converted to a bench supply and a cdplayer to test it.

As posted in another thread, the pics are a few months old but close enough

The pics dont quite show the whole room and make it look cramped and as someone said looks like a prison cell, these should put it into better perspective, One and Two[/QUOTE]

In my brief experiences as a DIYer, I've aquired two tools which are both amazing and invaluable.

1. A soldering iron with built in holder, a screwdriver with different tips, a drill, and a jig-saw.

2. Functions as a clamp, a voltage meter, and a blowtorch.

link because the pic is huge:

Right now I have tons of components just floating around the box I use for soldering. What would you suggest for containers to hold all these parts?
