I have a Sony CE375 and it is the week link in my setup.It sounds OK and I can live with it for now but I have plans to upgrade to a mid level Music Hall or Cambridge Audio when my budgit allows it.

Thanks for the replies. An interesting mix of High End $$$$ and more Main Stream $$$ players. I was wondering where my Primare CD21 sat with what other people were using.

I think I have the cheapest here;-) I only paid $23 on eBay...used NEC Multispin CDR-602 (my sig).

You're using the multispin via its analog outs, rather than to an external DAC? If so, how does the sound quality compare to cheap DVD players, PCDPs and such?

Edit -- never mind, I read your .sig . Hardly cheap when you include the DAC in the equation.

Actually, I got the Curcio CD12V Tube DAC (my sig) for $150 on eBay too. It's one of the best (tubed) DAC I heard.
