Could I have some opinions on these PC phones?

I don't really no anything about those phones.

You can get them cheaper here

cheaper price

Do you really need usb connectivity with the headphones?

[edit: I thought you were a noob, so I was going to point you towards the w100s, but I guess that that really isn't necessary.

They use the same driver technology that the a55 uses, but they use a smaller driver. I doubt the sound would really be that good. Plus, you have all the electronics behind the driver. That probably isn't good.

I saw this headphone in a local Japanese store for about $70 USD.

Don't know about the sound quality, but it looks kind of flimsy. Btw, unlike many other AT headphones being sold in Japan, this headphone is not made in Japan, it's made in Taiwan (not that there's anything wrong with this).

I think if I showed up at a LAN party with USB headphones I'd have an awful hard time mooching any RedBull. Not sure quite why, it's just a gut feeling...
