They're receipts.

You guys are heavily mistaken, our money in Australia isn't paper - it's made of plastic, and it is very colourful. That is definitely not a wad of cash in my wallet. But I wish it was...

Not unless you think you might sell them one day.

By the way, I like how you have arranged your CD collection.

Looks like a pretty chill place to listen to your tunes, M Rael. Very nice.

Ari, I saw your "toaster" -- but I thought Hirsch's actually is a toaster. One of these days I'll have to stop by his place (we're both in/around DC) and see it for myself.

[Edit: On closer examination, Hirsch's blue "toaster" does indeed look like an amp. I feel deceived! So what exactly are these things, Ari?]

kerelybonto, if I would answer in Portugese, it would sound like this: Você está de sacanagem comigo...

Well, Hirsch's "blue toaster" made by Berning/GE is a singing toaster...

Mine is a bit newer and only learned to sing yet...

Oh, it's a MicroZOTL! That makes sense. I bet the Koss Cheesephones would be sweet with that thing. ...

I wasn't going to spoil your picture, Vert I wouldn't call it "ugly," but it's plain. But then again, who cares what it looks like when it sounds that good?

I like it a lot; it's not flashy or revolutionary, but it's a very good, solid, jazz vocal CD.

Lextek: I like the headphone stand

M Rael: the thing I like about your rig is that it's clearly a listening area. Nothing else in the area, you just sit down and listen, with all the CDs at arm's reach... nice.

BTW, aeberbach, what's wrong with your IE? Slashdot pages load in seconds for me...

Actually, having USB ports says nothing about mice. Two- and three-button mice have been around for 20 years. Plus you can get single-button USB mice

i was just kidding, but of course we can't do that around macdef when the word "mac" is in the same post.
I love how PC users love to "joke" about Macs, but if someone knowledgeable about the platform resonds, in jest or just to present the facts, said PC users always have a fit. God forbid someone might actually respond ROFL. What's that thing about the "heat" and the "kitchen"?

BTW, despite your impressions, I'm about as cross-platform as they come, having worked in IT with Macs, Windows, and Unix. It's just that people generally don't make stupid comments about Windows and Unix... well, sometimes Unix.

you are just as guilty for crapping mac threads as i am
Nope, not even close. I never thread crap on these issues. I just clean up the garbage after other people crap

My own, admittedly long ago experience with a Mac (or... in those days Apple Macintosh ) was that they had the worst CPUs going... Motorola 68000 chips, that had been out since around about 1983... Granted its a 32bit CPU, but talk about gutless...

Do Macs still use Motorola CPUs? if so... count me out!!

Granted I'm not MacD... but, I also have this CD... to me personally its bordering a little too close to the easy listening part of life... but, it does still get aired about once every other week
