Fitz, awesome work on the "headphone cabinet". Now you may want to add some kind of curtain to reduce the amount of dust that will fall on the cans.

Nope. Both the rope light that runs at the back of the desk, and the halogen overhead lights were purchased from Home Depot quite some time ago. Both the rope light (25 ft.) and the halogen set (3 lights + transformer) were about $20 each.

I am confused, when I post ridiculous pictures like that there is not supposed to be such a positive response.

As for dust, even with the door open all the time this closet seems to be almost immune to dust. Even in places on the shelves I haven't touched in forever, there is still barely any dust. I'll probably start closing the door more often just so people don't try to steal my AKGs though.

I have installed the third row tonight, and added heatshrink caps to the hangers so they don't scratch the headbands over time. I'm waiting on some more headphones plus selling some other ones, so I think I am going to wait until that is all done before I take any more pictures. That way it will accurately represent my real set of headphones, rather than showing some I won't have anymore.

My thoughts too . I think though you have to admit anyone browsing thru this thread and stumbling across your photo ends up with the lower jaw dropping. It's not the kind of display a normal person sees everyday, let alone in thier lifetime. AND, they have to wonder what type of person would own that many headphones,,,,,,,,,

I don't know you Fitz but you gotta be alright.
