Really depends on how much you want to spend. Cost can be anywhere from $10-$2000 relative to the manufacturer and length. My $0.02 is that you go with a boutique manufacturer who will tailor the cable to your specifications. Most of these guys should be able to work with you and your needs. Check out RnB180 on this board who's a full blown cable-guy. I'm sure others will chime in for their own recommendations.

The other alternative is to do it yourself.

A vote for the Zu Pivot. Very transparent sound.

If you would like to shop locally, I can recommend Head-Fi member Grandenigma1's gold alloy. I have a 2' 1/4" to x2 RCA and I am very satisfied. It has an open, detailed and a bit warm character with a great soundstage.

Headroom (head-fi sponsor) has a wide selection, all the way from $20 on up...

The cheap Straight Wire ones look *very* decent for the price, and it just gets better from there. I'm probably getting one of the $19.95 16-inch IC's early next month when I get paid... I see no need to spend big on something that's going to connect to a $40 vintage PCDP.

I don't know his current pricing. He also might have changed the construction and come up with even a better sound. I would just PM him for a quote.

Radioshack makes a functional and suitable stereo mini male to RCA L/R male, as I recall.

What is the rest of your gear and what file format do you use with your ipod?

Sonic considerations aside, I find Radioshack adapter cables to be of somewhat weird lengths/thicknesses (usually longer than necessary, resulting in a somewhat messy situation). IMO the cables Headroom offers are of reasonable length, look spiffy and are priced right. We should expect better than usual appearances in this hobby of ours, dontcha think?
