The Smithsonian has/had one on display. One of the exhibits I had to see when my parents took us to Washington DC.

Newest member of the family. A Betta splendens. Rescued him from the CIA. I think I will call him Manfred.

Here is Sota the wunder-katt - peaked at just over 30 lbs! Though is now a svelte runway mdel cat at 25.5lbs.

About to get a haircut

We used to have more pets, but Sota ate them.....

He is a loving and gentle cat, VERY friendly, and loves to be in the middle of things, no matter what is going on.

EDIT: yes, he's named after stereo equipment. His unofficial middle name is Moonbeam (though I owned the Sapphire)

You should change his name to "Sofa" - he's almost as big as one

Bettas are better off in a traditional aquarium. Being in a small bowl in the long run isn't good for them. Then again can't see the entire picture either.
