Headphone adapter help

Thread Starter
I currently own a pair of HD650s. It has a 1/4 inch chord, the big plug. It then has a separate 1/8 inch chord u plug the 1/4 inch chord into i have to use to listen to it on ipod/amp/computer. This is heavy, the connector is large, and it cuts out sound sometimes and i have to turn around the connection or push it in or out (the connection between the 1/4 and 1/8 adapter). And my headphones are brand new...

It is obviously the large and messy connection cable from 1/4 to 1/8th plug causing the annoyin sound problems, any ideas ?

I would love to buy an expensive quality adapter from 1/4 to 1/8, anyone know where i can get one, anything under 50 for an adapter would be fine. I cant buy a new chord though, to poor

so really my aim is to buy a new 1/4 to 1/8 adapter gettin rid of the messy 650 stock adapter but keepin the 650 stock chord. Or if anyone has any other ideas any help would be appreciated

thanks alot

Perhaps the one you have atm is defective/faulty. Things can mess up over time. I'd just buy another one, they're pretty good quality. (when working) Cheap too in regards to cost. And trust me, you don't want a one-piece adaptor. They tend to put too much strain on the source/amp output jack, effectively annihilating it.
