If it's below $500 (it's built like it), I sure wouldn't mind getting it to play the high res formats.

Does it have good bass management for SACD and DVD-A? Not an issue w/ headphones, but it might be if you want to use it in a HT system.

The one thing it doesn't have is Dolby Headphone. THEN, I would buy it.
