It is a high quality Siltech Generation 5 Silver/Gold twisted pair with silver shield interconnect wire. I used the shield as the ground. I went balanced incase I ever want to go with a truly balanced amp. I want to emphasize that I am in NO way attempting to or am I considering marketing this wire for this purpose. It does not lend itself well to this application, it’s an interconnect wire therefore it is very stiff.

Man, they look stiff. I take it the cable is heavier than the cans themselves, now?

I agree - especially the earclips. One of the earclips have come off and is now missing. I may have to open another new pair I have in storage.

yikes, you said the distortion went away. proving that your cables have healing powers. tell those cable naysayers to put THAT in their pipe and smoke it!
