Pioneer DV-578a FS

This DVD player plays CD, multi-channel SACD and DVD-A, and has also been modded by Vinnie Rossi of Redwine Audio.

The mods consist of adding hexfred diodes in the powersupply and larger Black Gates filtering caps. The dedicated stereo analog output stage has been modded with Burr Brown 2604 op amps, black gates caps for output coupling, as well as black gates caps for de-coupling at the DAC, vibration deadening material has also been applied to the case (a several hundred dollar mod).

It has an aftermarket firmware which adds many features among which are: region-free and blacker-than-black.

The unit has a very nice sound to it now compared to stock. It is silver in color and in has a few dings, and is about 1 and a half years old.

I don't have the original box, but do have the remote. I'm asking $300 shipped in the US (the mods alone were more than this).

Drop to $275

Will trade for HD580 or HD600s, grado 225s or hf1s, an ipod nano, woodied beyers, cd3000s, westone um2s, etc. (For appropriate value)
